Falcons Accelerate Policies & Code of Conduct
Behavior
Our ELOP/Falcons Accelerate staff employs positive discipline methods, including restorative practices, to promote self-control, independence, and cooperation. By using restorative practices, we aim to resolve conflicts, build relationships, and foster a sense of community within the program. Along with setting reasonable limits, we help children understand what is expected of them, ensuring that they feel secure knowing we care enough to prevent them from hurting themselves or others.
All rules and regulations that apply at every Feaster Charter/CVESD school site are also enforced in the ELOP program. Participation in ELOP is a privilege, and any disruptive behavior that negatively impacts the program may result in dismissal. Please review the following behavior expectations for the Falcons Accelerate ELOP.

Falcons Accelerate FAQ’s
Are breakfast, lunch, and snacks included or do we need to provide them?
Meals
Yes, meals and snacks are provided. If your child prefers food from home, you are welcome to send meals with them. However, we cannot accommodate mid-day food drop-offs. Please provide a refillable water bottle for use throughout the day.
Curriculum
Is there a published curriculum I can refer to?
Falcons Accelerate (ELOP) is an enrichment program with opportunities for both intervention and enrichment. The summer program provides a safe environment for students to participate in low-stress, fun learning activities. The focus is on expanding and enhancing student knowledge through engaging STEM activities, structured play, social/emotional learning, computer coding, makerspace activities, arts and crafts, performing arts, and more.
Is daily attendance mandatory? What if my child participates in other activities during the summer?
attendance
During the school year, the intent is for students to participate in the entire program or minicamp, starting directly after the school day and lasting until final pickup no later than 5:00 PM. In the intercession programs, students are expected to participate in the full day of activities from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Regular absences, late arrivals, or late departures may result in dismissal from the program to make space for others. See Attendance and Registration Policy for more details.
Weather
During extreme heat, will the kids be allowed to stay inside the classroom?
Staff will monitor the heat and follow CVESD district protocols related to hot weather.
Falcons Accelerate FAQ’s
Should my student be potty trained before attending Falcons Accelerate (ELOP)?
Skills
It is strongly encouraged that your child is potty trained before attending Falcons Accelerate (ELOP), as aides cannot assist with restroom needs. For more information about potty training, please visit our district website resources.
Teacher
& Room
When will I know my child’s teacher and room number?
Classroom assignments will be provided before the first day of Falcons Accelerate (ELOP). During the school year, staff will help students transition from their regular school day classes to Falcons Accelerate (ELOP) classes. In the summer program, families are encouraged to drop off their child on the first day to ensure they find their teacher.
Can my child walk home at the end of the day?
Walking
Home
Students in grades TK-3rd must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Students in grades 4th-6th may walk home with parent/guardian consent. Please see the Walk Home Form in Jumbula to allow your child to walk home after their program ends.
